Manchester ready to help her home

If there’s one thing Susan Manchester cares about, it’s her home.

Manchester, a former Congressional staffer for Jim Jordan, R-Urbana, left Washington after five years on Capitol Hill, returning to her native Waynesfield, urged on by an atmosphere that she felt neglected the people who were supposed to be represented there.

“I saw how disconnected Washington politicians are from the rest of the country, the same disconnect that’s frustrated so many Ohioans,” Manchester said on Tuesday during a visit with the Wapakoneta Lions Club. “I felt like in order to really make an impact for my hometown, my home state, I wanted to head back.”

And since her return, she has made an impact, working as the Community Outreach Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Central Ohio, reintegrating herself back into Auglaize County. But...
