Several Waynesfield-Goshen Local School students got the chance to explore Costa Rica.
The trip took place June 16 through 23. A group of 20 were in attendance; three were from other schools. Those who attended were upcoming freshmen to high school graduates.
The group stopped at San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica, the Arenal region, Guanacaste and the Sarapiqui region, W-G Spanish Teacher Kyley Jordan said. While there, the group toured a coffee plantation.
The group also white water rafted on the Sarapiqui river and cliff jumped into that same river. They ziplined over the rainforest and the Sarapiqui region, she said. They then set their sites on exploring the Arenal region, where they hiked to see the Arenal lake.
This is the second educational tour for W-G, Jordan said. Last year, the school visited Europe, and she's already working on where and what they'll see next.
