Wapakoneta High School’s graduation ceremonies Saturday will feature the top five graduates of the class of 2016. As they prepare their remarks for their classmates, each took a moment to share a little of what it took to earn this honor. The top five students are Kylie Timmerman, Ben Schroer, Sarina Dangelo, Alisha Dirr and Nick Bruns.
Senior Kylie Timmerman, who this year was a part of the bowling team and the National Honor Society, is thrilled to be in the top five.
Schroer, who was a member of the tennis team and was a National Honor Society member, also took part in AP Calculus, AP Biology and AP US History courses, and he knew that his academics would be top priority.
Sarina Dangelo was a part of the Octagon Club, the a cappella group and the show choir, Singsation, and said it’s pretty awesome to be among the top five this year.
Being on the varsity softball team, the vice president of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the President of National Honor Society, Alisha Dirr found herself stunned to be among the top five.
Nick Bruns throughout the school year participated in National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, baseball, St. Joseph’s basketball team and golf.
