Two events are rolling into town for the next two weekends at the Auglaize County Fairgrounds, starting with Wapak Tug Fest today and a new event for Memorial Day weekend. Both events have been put together and promoted by Matt and Julie Gossard of Waynesfield.
Tug Fest will begin at 3 p.m. today with the “Outlaw Pull,” which features only one weight class and no tire restrictions on trucks, Julie Gossard said. At approximately 8:30 p.m., a live concert will take place in the grandstand pit. Performing will be opening band The Lacs and main band LoCash.
Starting at 3 p.m. Saturday, the Classic Tug-Atruck will continue until midnight.
Also, with the departing of the Buckeye Farm Antiques show to Shelby County Fairgrounds, the Blue Moon Trader’s Market will be coming in for the first time on Memorial Day weekend.
The flea market event will be held May 27 and 28 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in and around the Miller Building at the fairgrounds.
