Nathaniel B. Gillette, 45, of Wapakoneta, had a hearing on Feb. 2 on a community control sanctions violation.
Gillette was found guilty of violation of intervention in lieu of conviction and further found guilty of possession of marijuana, a fifth degree felony. He was sentenced to five years of community control sanctions, to include 180 days in Auglaize County Corrections as a residential sanction.
He was granted furlough for purposes of waiver of extradition to Kentucky. The defendant shall have no contact or association with minor children, including his own. He was ordered to pay a fine of $640 plus court costs and credited with 27 days jail time.
Gillette was approved for an intervention in lieu of conviction on Feb. 13, 2016, stemming from an indictment filed on Jan. 5, 2016, on one count of possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony, for an offense that occurred on Sept. 17, 2015.
With the intervention in lieu of conviction, the criminal charges were stayed as long as he obeyed the rules of the intervention. The duration of the intervention was five years.
Gillette was arrested earlier in early January in Wapakoneta after a Kentucky grand jury returned a six-count indictment against him for unlawful use of electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sex.
