Students celebrate choice

When you hear 'school choice,' you don't often think of public school. The term is usually comes in the context of charter and private schools, or other methods parents and students sometimes choose as an alternative to their public schools. But at Cridersville Elementary, they're trying to change that.

This week, schools around the country are celebrating National School Choice Week, a recognition of the many educational options parents and their students now have when it comes to school.
But instead of celebrating those who chose to leave the public school system, Cridersville Elementary is celebrating those who chose to stay.

On Monday morning, students, teachers, and a slate of guests gathered in the gymnasium to kick-off the week-long celebration.
