Council to hear options on storm water

The Wapakoneta City Council will hold a Committee of the Whole meeting this evening in council chambers to discuss legislation regarding storm drainage.

The ordinance, which is designed to address issues that arose during the summers heavy rains. Improper drainage is blamed for damage to several properties and the city is attempting to address those issues.

The city's Safety-Service Director Chad Scott created the ordinance following consultations with engineers from Choice One.

David Schlenker, of Schlenker Development Inc., addressed council on Dec. 18 regarding this issue when it came up for its second reading.
