Jury trial set for local man

A final pretrial hearing was set for 10 a.m. April 27, and a jury set for 8:30 a.m. June 7 for Justin Eugene Shoffner, 20, of Wapakoneta, who is charged with one count of tampering with evidence, a third degree felony, for an offense that occurred on Oct. 8, 2017.

An arraignment was held Nov. 8. The defendant pled not guilty to the charge. A pretrial hearing was set for 2 p.m. Nov. 28. A second pretrial hearing was set for 10 a.m. Dec. 18. A continued second pretrial and change of plea hearing was held Jan. 2.
