The Auglaize County Airport Authority met for their regular meeting earlier this month, which was highlighted by an update to the upcoming utility project that serves as the first phase in sizable upgrades coming to the Neil Armstrong Airport.
A total of nine bids for the project were received and opened by the board, all from contractors in western Ohio.
The bids ranged from $748,085 to just over $1.1 million. The Auglaize County Commissioners are currently reviewing the bid packs and will likely make a recommendation by next month.
Once presented to the board, a decision regarding which to accept will be made.
The plan will connect the airport to New Knoxville's water and sanitation systems, which will extend from Industrial Park Drive, just west of the airport, to Cook Road, just east of the terminal.
