The community, and the Wapakoneta Daily News in particular, is saddened by the recent loss of LaVerne R. Shaull, 77, who passed away on Sunday in Hope Mills, N.C. Shaull was a former publisher of WDN from 1974 to 1986 and had a passion for the newspaper and the local community.
“He loved the newspaper,” said Shaull’s son, Verne. “He was very active in the community and had a lot of friends in the business community there.”
The Wapakoneta Daily News appreciates all that Shaull did for the paper and offers condolences to his family and loved ones.
