Wapakoneta showed off its Halloween spirit Thursday night at the annual WapaWeen Halloween Parade put on by the Wapakoneta Area Chamber of Commerce.

There were 124 floats from Wapakoneta and the surrounding communities that took part in the parade, as well as a number of local businesses.

Before the annual WapaWeen Parade commenced, the kids of the area took part in a costume contest where they stood a chance to win a gift certificate for either having a funny, creative or unique costume. The contest was separated into four groups: 2 and under, 3 to 4, 5 to 6, and 7 and up.
