Two Kentucky suspects are in custody after a high-speed pursuit that began Thursday afternoon on Interstate 75 by Beaverdam and ended on 75 just south of Cridersville.

On Thursday at 12:32 p.m., Ohio State Highway Patrol Troopers from the Lima Post attempted to make a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle on Interstate 75 at milepost 135 by Beaverdam. The suspect vehicle failed to comply and a pursuit was initiated.

According to a news release from the Highway Patrol, the chase continued south along 75, and at one point, the suspect's vehicle intentionally struck a trooper's vehicle and then later drove over the crossover and went southbound in the northbound lanes of 75. Troopers then intentionally struck the suspect's vehicle with a patrol car, ending the pursuit at milepost 116 near Cridersville.

The driver, Shawn Gregory of Fisherville, Ky., age 22, and a passenger, Kaylee Herman of Louisville, Ky., age 21, were taken into custody without further incident.

The case remains under investigation. Charges will be filed after at the completion of the investigation.
