A St. Marys man was indicted and arrested for vehicular homicide charges Wednesday. The arrest is connected to the fatal crash Nov. 8, 2015, that took the life of 16-year-old Noah Weber of Buckland.
Garret M. Hale, 18, was indicted on six charges: two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide, one a second-degree felony and the other a third-degree felony; two counts of tampering with evidence, both third-degree felonies; and two counts of OVI, both first-degree misdemeanors.
According to a crash report released from the Ohio State Highway Patrol in December, both Weber and Hale, the driver of the vehicle, were suspected to have been huffing aerosols.
Hale was arraigned in the Auglaize County Common Pleas Court on Thursday. The court entered a not guilty plea to all charges on Hale's behalf. The court ordered a $75,000 bond with a 10 percent cash provision, plus an own recognizance bond.
