Youth program getting bigger

Eight Wapakoneta School District students participated in the 65th Annual Ohio Youth in Government Conference this past weekend.

Seven high school students and one middle school student traveled to Columbus to partake in mock legislative activities. Students attending included Cassidy Hughes, Emma Walker, Michael Johnston, Alyissa Horn, Sarah Schmidt, Tori Smith and Taylor Schneider. Students left Thursday morning and returned Saturday afternoon.

This is the second year Wapakoneta students have attended the Youth in Government conference. Last year only two attended, Fisher said.
