It’s shake up time again in Buckland.
The Village Council held an emergency meeting Thursday and saw some changes.
Mayor Janet Bible, who began her official term in office on Jan. 1, told the Wapakoneta Daily News that she had announced her resignation in executive session on March 28.
That raised two concerns. The first was that the March meeting was scheduled for March 30. The date was moved up two days to Monday and the newspaper given two hours notice, not the 24 hours notice required by Ohio’s Open Meetings Law.
The second concern was raised by a council member who, Bible said, told her that council could not accept her resignation in open session since it was presented in executive session.
Following the executive session on Thursday's meeting, council reconvened and Bible submitted her resignation, thanking the members of council and the community for this support.
