Tony Stinebaugh was sworn in Sunday afternoon as the new Wapakoneta Fire Department Chief, while several friends, family and colleagues gathered to watch at the fire house.
Stinebaugh has been with the department for 21 years and was promoted to chief from the position of captain. Eric Snapp was also sworn in Sunday as Stinebaugh’s replacement for captain.
In regard to what Stinebaugh is most looking forward to as chief, he said “basically just making some needed changes and get the department running smooth again.”
