WAPAKONETA, OH
The Wapakoneta Fire Department has a new chief.
Capt. Tony Stinebaugh and Capt. Doug Kill were in the running for the post, which was vacated when Chief Kendall Krites retired at the end of last year.
Originally, Stinebaugh and Capt. Jeff Orphal signed on the take the test. However, Orphal retired unexpectedly, leaving only Stinebaugh as a candidate. Kill then decided to test for the position.
According to Safety-Service Director Chad Scott, Stinebaugh will be sworn in Sunday afternoon.
