Auglaize County experienced its first major snow event over the weekend as accumulation topped half a foot in some parts of the region.
Windy conditions didn't help matters, causing snow drifts–some were reported to be over 6.5 feet high–to partially cover rural roadways, and those who made the bold decision to venture out in the storm encountered the dangerous conditions everywhere from Minster to Waynesfield.
According to Troy Anderson, the director of the County's Emergency Management Agency, Wapakoneta received 6 inches of snow, while measurements in St. Marys reached 7.25 inches.
