One west central Ohio non-profit organization recently received a significant financial boost, and with the new funds, will further their efforts to provide aide to Ohio's military veterans.
Lima-based Partnership for Violence Free Families (PVFF) will benefit from the 'Mental Health Awareness Training' grant, which comes from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, a branch of the US Department of Health and Human Services.
The grant will provide, in total, $125,000 per year for the next three years to the Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation in support of programs dedicated to reducing Ohio military veteran suicides and increasing awareness for the cause.
Over the grant period, PVFF will receive a portion of the funds, and will implement programs on the subject in the group's three county service area: Auglaize, Allen, and Hardin counties.
