The holidays are always prime shopping season, and the Wapakoneta Antique and Specialty Shops are hoping to get a jumpstart next weekend, Nov. 2-4, with their annual Holiday Open House.
Member shops, stores, and eateries will be taking part in the event, busting out the Christmas decorations, refreshments, and even carriage rides through downtown Wapakoneta on Saturday.
With most of the member stores located downtown, the event gives shoppers and visitors to town a chance to make stops all along Auglaize Street.
"It's a big event that goes on for selling Christmas ideas, foods, decorations, a little bit of everything, with a small town feel," Landa Tomlinson, owner of WASS member Casa Chic. "People really love the small town where they go in and out of shops, and we have unique things that you don't get at the malls or the regular stores."
