It might have been a day off of school for some kids, but it wasn't a day off of learning for those that visited the Armstrong Air and Space Museum on Monday for the annual Day of Discovery event.
Visitors got a chance to partake in special activities throughout the museum that explored a little bit about the science of light and sound, with a little bit of space history mixed in.
Included was a lesson in a lesser-known tidbit about the NASA's Gemini Program.
Next to the Gemini VIII capsule, manned by Neil Armstrong during the 1966 mission, visitors heard from museum educator Christopher Moynihan about one of the first instruments played in space–a harmonica.
