Cridersville FD donates truck to Caribbean department

The Cridersville Fire Department recently made a donation that will help their fellow fire fighters in the Caribbean protect and serve.

The village fire department donated a 1993 International Ambulance/Rescue Truck that had served their firefighters for 15 years to the Royal St. Vincent and Grenadines Fire and Police Force in the Caribbean. The donation was made in partnership with the Rotary Club of Hoboken, NJ. The vehicle was used for refilling air bottles on scene for firefighters.

After a year of trying to find a buyer for the vehicle, Fire Chief Rick Miller sought and received approval from the village council to donate the truck. The program Cridersville is participating in with the New Jersey Rotary Club helps fire fighters in the Dominican Republic, Panama and now St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
