Local artists again convened on the Riverside Art Center in Wapakoneta on Sunday for the 2018 Greater Wapakoneta Community Art Exhibit.
The show, which requires that submitting artists must be from Auglaize or any of its surrounding counties, provides a significant platform for local artists to have their work hung on the walls of an art gallery, professional or amateur.
That includes Cathy Huber, who won top prize in the photography category.
Huber, from Lima, is simply a hobbyist, although she takes it a bit more seriously than that.
"I've just always liked taking pictures. One year my kids got me a camera, a really good camera, and I was just sort of obliged," Huber said with a laugh. "I felt that I really needed to take it up seriously. I started joining clubs and entering shows, and it's worked out quite nicely for me."
