FlexArm ready to break ground

Things will be getting a little bit crowded on the south side of town.

FlexArm, the Wapakoneta based manufacturer of machining equipment, will break ground on a $4 million facility in Wapakoneta, located south of US-33 on 705 Commerce Dr, less than a mile from the Pratt Industries recycling and corrugated cardboard factory currently under construction.

The planned 53,000 sq. ft. facility will replace their current location at 851 Industrial Dr., which will be retained for warehousing and shipment of both newly finished products and service parts.

The expansion, FlexArm President Nick Kennedy says, is necessary.

"We're growing like crazy, and we've got people shoe-horned into the current facility," Kennedy said in a statement. "This new space will enable us to continue our growth - both in sales volume and employees, while better serving new and existing customers."
