Meeting Wednesday, Wapakoneta City Council’s Finance Committee, acting on a recommendation from Mayor Tom Stinebaugh and Auditor Wilbur Wells, asked that legislation be drawn up to create a new position for a city engineer — and the mayor knows exactly who he wants to hire.
Both Stinebaugh and Wells had good things to say about Scott Strahley, with Kohl and Kaliher Associates in Lima, a name that may be known to readers from recent Planning Commission stories regarding the Rolling Hills Estates subdivision. Strahley was the engineer assigned from the firm to work with Developer David Schlenker to designed the subdivision off Ramga Road.
Wells met with him said said Strahley “made an impression.”
“He’s knowledgeable; he’s confident,” Wells said. He has an impressive resume.”
