As the cranes and crews continue to build the new steel-structured paper mill, a local restaurant brought in trays of food to treat Wapakoneta’s new neighbors to a free lunch.
Staff from JMarie’s Restaurant put out a selection of wraps along with pulled pork and meat balls among other items on the lunch buffet set up in an unfinished building in the midst of the construction zone. John-William Davis and his crew were feeding about 170 on site Wednesday just to say thanks.
“We want to welcome them to Wapakoneta,” Davis said. “It’s a gesture of our appreciation for what they’ve bringing to the community and to our town.”
