A decisive victory on Tuesday night means that Waynesfield-Goshen will continue to receive local support for their permanent improvement fund.
The levy, which has been in place since 1988, was passed with 70 percent approval from voters in eastern Auglaize County, tallying 406 votes for the levy and 174 against.
Voters will not see an increase in their taxes over the next five years because of the 4.9 mill levy, which generates funds for improvements and maintenance of the district's property and facilities.
Expenses relating to the school grounds, buses, buildings, and technology all fall into the permanent improvement category.
Employee salary, benefits, and any other personnel costs will not be impacted by the levy, as payment of those costs cannot come from the permanent improvement fund, which is disallowed under Ohio law.
