If Monday’s Wapakoneta City Council meeting hadn’t included a presentation on a standing water problem, councilors would have spent the bulk of their meeting granting street closure requests.
Melissa Carlin, executive director of the local chamber of commerce, presented her street closings for the Summer Moon Festival, July 18-21. The request was similar to the one made in years past with one major exception: the location of the car show.
The 2017 car show was located in the lot behind town; with 300+ cars in for the Friday show, residents and businesses in the area were inconvenienced having little or no access to the lot. This year’s show will be on...
