4-H holds annual banquet

On Monday, the Auglaize County 4-H held its 55th annual 4-H Adviser and Junior Leader Recognition Banquet.

The ceremony was opened by Michaelia Fisher and Rebecca Lehmkuhl, both members of their local 4-H clubs.

“Tonight is the night we take the time to recognize and appreciate your efforts and contributions to the youth of Auglaize County,” Fisher said before the invocation and dinner.

Dinner was followed with a recognition of 4-H committee and junior leaders, presented by Program Assistant Lori Now.

“The older youth are key to assisting advisers and younger members with club activities,” Now said. “Junior leaders are also involved in our countywide activities. They recruit new members, work as camp counselors, assist with judging and many other events … We would like to thank them for their willingness to help.”
