The Auglaize County Engineers met with the Board of County Commissioners on Tuesday to discuss the 2018 bridge program for the county.
According to the plan, the Engineers will be working on 14 different bridges in the coming months.
Andrew Baumer, an assistant county engineer, noted the department had been preparing for the work by pre-fashioning the necessary steel beams.
"The first one on there is a steel beam bridge with a wood deck," he said of the Townline Lima Road bridge north of Santa Fe-Knoxville Line Road. "We are doing all of the fabrication work in our garage right now. So we've actually purchased the beams, we're cutting the cross members and doing all the welding ... So we'll be able to set the beams and put the wood deck all on our own."
