Although Wapakoneta Fire Department lost Monday night's benefit basketball game to the Wapakoneta Police Department, it was all for a good cause.

The event was held by Mike Koenig and his wife, Tracy, to raise awareness of the Make-A-Wish requests of three young Wapakoneta residents. Both have been involved with the organization for several years.

From the players to the crowd members, everyone seemed to have a good time. Also during the game, Wapakoneta Police Chief Russ Hunlock challenged Wapakoneta Fire Chief Kendall Krites to a free-throw contest at half-time, which Hunlock won. The final score was Wapakoneta Fire Department: 41 and Wapakoneta Police Department: 54.
