Quellhorst Farm is hard to miss. The towering white barn arches out of the cornfield, behind some shady trees and a quaint farm house on Ohio Route 197, just west of Buckland.
The paved driveway turns to gravel, and soon you’re sitting at the base of a building that used to house hundreds of pigs. But once you step through the door, it’s impossible to tell what it once held.
Owners Todd and Pam Quellhorst, newly wed about a year ago, needed a plan for retirement, still two or three years away. “We kept saying we should do something with the barn, like a drive-thru or a store or something like that,” Pam Quellhorst said, “but I didn’t want to do that because then I’d have to be here all the time.”
