Barber named Woman of the Year

The Women’s Civic League of Wapakoneta awarded Rachel Barber with the title of Woman of the Year 2017 during its meeting Wednesday night at R J’s Coffey Cup.
The League had invited Barber to speak at the meeting about a heritage tourism initiative called “Auglaize County: In Motion.” What Barber didn’t realize is that the League had an “ulterior motive” in having her come to the meeting, as Mary Margaret Barlage, chairman of the Public Relations Committee, put it.
