An injury accident involving a motorcycle and a semi-truck resulted in two being injured Saturday. At 2:08 p.m., Edward Sutton, 56, of Jackson, Mich., was driving on the on-ramp to Interstate 75 northbound from U.S. 33 in a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he hit a patch of melted tar and then struck a semi truck on 75. The driver of the semi was not aware the truck had been hit and continued on 75.
Sutton was transported by the Wapakoneta EMS to Lima Memorial Hospital for non-incapacitating injuries, and a passenger on the motorcycle, Debra Moore, 44, of Jackson, Mich., suffered incapacitating injuries. Moore was also transported to Lima Memorial Hospital by the Wapakoneta EMS. Sutton's motorcycle suffered disabling damage.
