The Village of Waynesfield presented its third annual Good Neighbor Award on Tuesday to the Muchinippi Garden Club. Four members were present when the award was presented to them for the dedication and hard work in the community.
“The Muchinippi Garden Club members have spent the last two years beautifying properties in the village, planting and watering flowers, spreading mulch and other sorts of landscaping tasks at the Waynesfield Park, at the Municipal Building, and at White Memorial Library,” said Waynefield Police Chief Nathan Motter. “The amount of time and effort and passion that these members give to the community in making sure Waynesfield is pleasing to the eye is immeasurable.”
The four members present at the ceremony were the club’s president Pamela Kennon, vice president Barb Risner, and members Jean Maxwell and Kathleen Turner. The group started three years ago when Kennon first came to the area as the supervisor for the library.
