Between a new print directory and some new equipment, the Auglaize County Solid Waste Management District has been up to a lot already this year.

About a month ago, the district released a new booklet, the Household Recycling Directory, after working on putting it together since last fall.

“It makes a nice little directory to go in to,” District Coordinator Scott Cisco said. “It gives you a lot of information. It’s the first one we’ve ever done.”

The directory contains a lot of basic recycling information and what the district’s recycling centers will accept. There is also information about the county’s household hazardous drop-off program, and the directory lists all the district’s recycling centers throughout the county.

Cisco said the books are now available at the district facility located at 15502 St. Marys River Road, St. Marys, and at the County Administration Building’s business office at 209 S. Blackhoof St., Wapakoneta. The district has also been handing them out during its household hazardous drop-off days, and there are plans to hand them out at the district’s booth at the fair this year, which will be located inside the commercial building.

A PDF file of the directory can also be located at www2.auglaizecounty.org/files/HouseholdRecyclingDirectory.pdf.
