WAPAKONETA, OH
The Wapakoneta City Council’s Utilities Committee came together Thursday to discuss Dumpsters. As the committee recalled, they had discussed the topic not too long ago. But that was residential Dumpsters. Mayor Tom Stinebaugh wanted to talk about commercial Dumpsters, several of which are reaching the end of their useful lives.
With replacement comes a cost and it was discovered that, based on the city’s current rental fees, the city, on average, does not recoup the cost of replacement until after the Dumpsters are useless.
The committee recommends that the monthly fees be changed to: two-yard: $9; three-yard: $11; four-yard: $13; and six-yard: $17.
