Several high school students were honored by the American Legion and the Sons of the American Legion.

Rick Schroeder, American Legion Post 330 Commander, announced Thursday that five high school students, Ryan Schneider, Dylan Lord, Wesley Temple, Michael Burton and Will Zofkie will be going to Buckeye Boys State at Bowling Green State University between June 12 to 19 and will be sponsored by the two groups.

Five other students were originally going to go to Boys State last year but were unable to, so the American Legion and the Sons of the American Legion gave each a $300 scholarship check.

The five boys originally meant to go last year were: Ben Schroer, Michael Zwez, Ethan Good, Andrew Gibson and Aaron Huffman.
