The dispatchers at the Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office were honored by the sheriff and county commissioners Tuesday as part of National Telecommunicators Week.
The Sheriff’s Office currently has eight dispatchers working at the county’s number one dispatch center, Sheriff Al Solomon said. They receive all 911, fire and EMS calls within the county, and the dispatchers are responsible for handling all of them, except for those in Wapakoneta.
County Commissioners Doug Spencer, Don Regula and John Bergman and Administrator Erica Preston made an appearance at the Sheriff’s Office Tuesday to read a resolution declaring this week as National Telecommunicators Week in Auglaize County. They also offered thanks to the office’s dispatchers for all they do.
The dispatchers for the Sheriff’s Office are Michelle Hunlock, Robyn Barrett, Leah Feldner, Tracy Chivington, Lisa Lowe, Kaci Wright, Ashley Behr and Jessica Enderud. All were honored with a certificate of appreciation from the Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday as well.
