Waynesfield-Goshen High School will be putting on their spring play, “The Drowsy Chaperone,” this weekend Friday through Sunday, and according to the director, it will be a show full of laughs.
The play is a musical comedy, Director and Music Teacher Sandi Gesler said, and it’s set in the 1920s.
“It’s a parody of an American musical comedy, and it’s all about this middle aged musical fan and he plays a record of his favorite musical…and while he’s doing that the show comes to life on stage,” Gesler said.
The play will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Auditeria. Tickets are available through the W-G Music Department at the cost of $8 for adults and $6 for students. Those interested in pre-purchase can call the school’s main line at 419-568-9100 and ask for the Music Department.
