Bridge project axed

The Wapakoneta City Council on Monday repealed an ordinance that would have placed “Wapakoneta” on the Bellefontaine Street bridge that spans Interstate 75.

The move was made in light of information received Sept. 28 from the Ohio Department of Transportation stating that the price of the project — originally believed to be $81,000 — was now $104,000.
