Lent services wrapped up on Wednesday at St. Paul United Church of Christ. Rev. Becky Sunday gave welcoming remarks for those in attendance and then Rev. Janice Burns-Watson gave the sermon called Broken Curtain.

The sermon referred to the torn curtain found at Jesus’s burial tomb which Rev. Burns-Watson said was representing the torn boundaries between people and God.

The Wapakoneta Ministerial Association organized this year’s Lent services along with the previous 15 to 20 years. This year’s Lent was centered around being restored in Christ through broken means: vessels, hearts, justice for example. Each week a different pastor or member of a different church gave the sermon and was followed by a lunch provided by a different church.
