People across Wapakoneta and Auglaize County are asking “how can I help?” during the coronavirus crisis. One local assisted living facility manager has a suggestion to help lift the morale of workers on the front line.
Debbie McElroy, executive director of The Gardens at Wapakoneta, is encouraging those folks who want to help to write a little “thank you” note to the men and women working at nursing homes, hospitals, nursing home facilities and to those who are first responders.
Local health care workers know they are putting themselves at risk every day, but arrive for work on time, without complaint to provide essential services for a quarantined populations. They’d appreciate a little pat on the back, McElroy said.
To learn the best way to share notes with The Gardens, Wapak Manor, The Acres, the city of Wapakoneta or other care facility, reach out via telephone or social media.
