Josh Hines’s last day as Executive Director of the Wapakoneta Area Chamber of Commerce is Jan. 8, and he said he has really enjoyed working with local businesses as well as organizing and promoting local events during his time with the Chamber. Hines started in the position two and half years ago in 2013, and he was on the Board of Directors for 10 years before he became director.
Hines talked about some of the accomplishments he is especially proud of during his time with the Chamber.
“Probably the biggest thing was moving the (Summer Moon) Festival and growing the festival from behind town to uptown last year,” Hines said.
Hines is originally from Celina but has worked in Wapakoneta since 2002, he said, and he and his wife Sara currently live in Wapakoneta with their two daughters, Emme and Lucy, who are 6 and 4 years old.
Hines said his next endeavor will be going to school for a degree in computer information technology at Edison Community College in Piqua.
