Proposed salary increases defeated

The revised ordinance that would have raised the mayor’s salary to $28,000 per year, as well as given increases to the law director, auditor and treasurer failed Monday when Wapakoneta City Council members voted 4-3 to defeat the ordinance on its third reading.
