Your football team lose? Family getting on your nerves? Hoping to catch up with old friends? Well the Ohio Bar has got you covered.
Terry and Daryl McDonald, owners of the local watering hole, located at 17 E. Auglaize St., have decided to open up their establishment for the Thanksgiving holiday from Wednesday through Saturday from 7 p.m. to Midnight, an extension of their typical two-day-a-week schedule.
The couple say they have tried opening up earlier in the past with varying results. “We still take chances and do different things and find out what works and what doesn’t,” Daryl McDonald said.
“Daryl and I are giving up our holiday so that a lot of other people can have fun together and bring their families in and play a game of pool, or a couple games of pinball.” Terry McDonald explained. “We know how special it is for people to come back to their hometown and they like to go out together and celebrate. It’s not just about having a family dinner, its also about going out locally, and there is a tradition in that.”
