Saturday marked the beginning of the end of the 2018 Auglaize County Fair. It was also the second day of the Junior Fair livestock sale.
4-Hers and FFA members prepared their goats, rabbits, chickens, turkeys and cattle for the sale ring while buyers walked throughout the crowd, gathering signatures for add on buyers to make sure the kids were rewarded for their hard work with the best bid possible.
The morning started with the goat sale. Up first was the grand champion dairy goat, shown by Hannah Knueve. Knueve is a member of the Wapakoneta FFA and is the daughter of Scot and Keri Knueve. Her gray grand champion was sold for $3,850 and set a good tone for the second day of sales.
The reserve grand champion dairy goat which was shown by Fryburg Happy Farmers 4-H Club member Myah Carter. She is the daughter of William and Angela Carter. The younger Carter sold her goat for $850.
