Ending his high school career in the “top five” wasn’t really a goal Joey Metzger had set for himself, but he got there anyway.
“Being in the top five was not as important as applying myself to every class as well as I could,” Metzger said. “I earned the honor of being in the top five as a result of this.”
Meztger will graduate fifth in his class Saturday, when the Wapakoneta High School class of 2018 celebrates commencement. He will be one of the five student speakers during the ceremony.
