A Wapakoneta man is home from college and is ready to put a little of what he learned into practice.
Micah Nicol, a 2016 Wapakoneta High School graduate, just completed his first year at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. He has a Sunday show planned at Moon City Music and Event Center, performing with Sachi Rodriguez, a friend from school.
“Sachi and I are both songwriters, so we’ll be performing primarily our own material, along with some classic pop songs and old jazz standards,” Nicol said. “We’ll each by singing, and playing guitar, bass and piano.”
Nicol studies Music Production and Engineering at college, which Rodriguez concentration is in songwriting. Nicol explained his major “is all about producing music, working in a studio and making recordings sound as excellent as they can,” he said.
He wasn’t idol during his months at college. The local performing found a number of opportunities to be on stage while in Boston.
