Mercy Unlimited announced the winner of their 2018 Volunteer of the Year  Award at their annual Volunteer Banquet on Thursday. Members of the Auglaize County ESC Transitional Unit took home the honor. That's how much time volunteers put in last year to help keep Mercy Unlimited up and running.

On Thursday, those volunteers took a bit of a break to gather at RJ's Coffey Cup in Wapakoneta, recognizing all of their hard work and revealing the 2018 Volunteer of the Year.

The downtown Wapakoneta thrift store, food pantry, and ministry currently receives help from 32 volunteers who provide a variety of services, be it vacuuming, organizing donations, or preparing clothes for the retail floor.
